body's knowing

It was through my body's knowing that I knew I needed to re-present the dissertation in hypertext. It was by letting go of my thinking mind and following the direction of my body that I constructed the collages, found the 'perfect' quotation with which to start my study context section, and chose and ordered many of the images, songs, and links. It was through attending to my body's movements that (I hope) I have been able to create new and perhaps more "sustainable fictions" (Gough, 1991, p. 40) and move beyond myth and metaphor in discussion of cross-boundary communication.
